November 17th, 2017The Anglican and Evangelical Lutheran Group would like to thank all churches and congregations for their donations and support. We had another successful auction from which we realized half of the bursary funds. Our next meeting is on Wednesday, November 15 starting at 10:00 am at St John’s, 228 Pearl Street. All are welcome.
The Mission to Seafarers: Port of Thunder Bay is looking for donations for Christmas Gift Bags to be given to seafarers in December; our objective is to prepare for 11 ships with 20 bags /ship or 220 bags. Donations need to be at the Seafarers’ Centre by November 20, and suggested donations include mittens, gloves, writing paper, and wrapped candy.
Clean, used or new, but usable, warm, small-large men’s clothing to distribute to seafarers is needed; please bring clothing to the drop off box at the Seafarers’ Centre.
We would like to invite you to join us for a St. Nicolas Day Eucharist and lunch, Wednesday, December 6 at 12:10 p.m. at the Seafarers’ Centre, 100 Main St.. St. Nicolas is the patron saint of seafarers. For further information visit www.missiontoseafarers.ca/thunderbay or call 344-8241.
