The Mission to Seafarers 14th Annual Fund-raising Dinner is being held Friday, April 5 at the Current River Community Centre – 450 Dewe Ave. Tickets $40.00. The guest speaker is Dr. Michel S. Beaulieu, Chair and Associate Professor, Department of History, Lakehead University. As it is the 60th Anniversary of the St. Lawrence Seaway and his talk is entitled ‘A Great Lakes Romance’: The Lakehead’s Highway of Destiny’. This dinner is one of the main fund-raisers for the Mission, so please come out and support this worthy cause. For tickets see your MTS Congregational Representative. The Mission to Seafarers Annual Meat Sale fund-raiser is here again. The meat is from European Meats, is of excellent quality and gluten free. Prices are posted on www.missiontoseafarers.ca/thunderbay. Orders must be placed by Monday, April 29 and will be delivered on Wednesday, May 8. St. Stephen’s Quiet Morning 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Saturday, March 16 at St. Stephen’s; and led by Canon Ed. The morning will consist of teaching about stewardship and time to pray individually. Dress warm.
