On Saturday June 29 please be on the water in your vessel, or come down to at the lookout on Pier 3 – the Royal Canadian Navy Pier at Marina Park, the north end near Naval Memorial, bring your lawn chairs and take in the Blessing of the Fleet. At 10:30 a.m. the Macgillivary Pipe Band will conduct a Tattoo and at 11:00 a.m. a service of Blessing is held with a parade of vessels. Boaters are invited to take part. St. Luke’s is seeking a Sunday School Teacher to provide a Christian education program for children ages three to eight, on the second, third, fourth and fifth Sundays throught the year.  The Teacher will serve under the guidance of the Sunday School Superintendent, for a duration of 2.5 hours each week at St. Luke’s, plus 1 hour preparation time at home, at a rate of pay of $10 per hour.  Interested persons will need to have a mature faith journey, a love of children, a servant’s heart and experience with teaching Sunday School.  A clean police record check is also required.  A full job description may be obtained by contacting St. Luke’s Church office at 622-1243 or by email at stlukes@shaw.ca
