1. Parish of West Thunder Bay and 1st Murillo Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will hold a Spaghetti Supper on Sunday, May 27 from 4-6 p.m. at the Rosslyn Community Centre, Sit down or Take-out, $8 adults, $3 children. (Please bring your own container for take-out)

2. St. Stephen’s Spaghetti Suppers–Next one is Sunday May 27. Take out from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at a cost of $8 (please bring your own container). Eat in from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at a cost of $10 (includes salad and dessert). For more information, contact Arlene Halverson at 683-3294, Dora Scrimshaw at 345-8068 or Janet Pike at 476-0044.

3. St George’s Church, 298 McIntyre Street, will hold a Yard Sale with a Bake Table on Saturday June 2, 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

4. St. Stephen’s Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, June 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. Hot dogs, smokies, pop, coffee & tea will be sold by the Men’s Club. We are looking for donations of baking for the Bake Table, books, gently used clothing (please NO out-dated clothing and it must be in good condition) and household items, etc. Donations will be accepted Friday, June 1 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. If you need something picked up, please contact Janet Pike before Thursday, May 31 at 476-0044. 5. St Thomas will host a Celebration of New Ministry between our Parish and our new Incumbent, the Rev. Doug McClure, on Mon., June 18th, 7:00 pm. The Ven Deborah Kraft will be the Officiant and the Rt. Rev. Fraser Lawton, Bishop of the Diocese of Athabasca will be the preacher. You are invited to come celebrate as the people of St. Thomas, along with Pastor Doug commit ourselves to a shared ministry in our Parish. Clergy and Lay Readers are invited to robe and process. The liturgical colour will be red. A reception will follow in the church hall. All are welcome.

6. St. Thomas will host a Deanery of Thunder Bay special event on Tues., June 19th, 7:00-9:00 pm. Guest presenter will be the Rt. Rev. Fraser Lawton, Bishop of Athabasca, and we will have an uplifting time of prayer and praise, followed by refreshments and fellowship. There is no cost – no registration; just come as you are and bring a friend in need of encouragement.

7. On Saturday June 23 please plan to participate in the Blessing of the Fleet at the lookout on the Royal Canadian Navy Pier, Pier 3 at Marina Park. 8. Dr. John Harvey of Thorneloe University will be offering a one-week intensive course in Thunder Bay the week of July 9th-13th. The course (number TCST 3900) is on the Books of Moses and will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm each day. Students are encouraged to purchase the textbook “The Five Books of Moses” by Roberet Alter. Cost of the course is $250 for audit and $350 for credit.
