Camp Gitchigomee

Camp Gitchigomee is a Christian summer camp located on Sandstone Lake near Thunder Bay, and offers week-long coed camps for children ages 7 – 15. Activities at the camp include archery, Bible studies, canoeing, campfire, crafts, land & water games, light duties, nature studies and swimming.

Camp Gitchigomee was established in 1945 by Thunder Bay Anglican churches, and became a not-for profit corporation in 2007. It continues to be administered, maintained and supported by volunteers and local Anglican parishes.

Summer Camp Dates Camp Gitchigomee 2017

Senior Camp (13 – 15) – July 9 – 15

Junior Camp (7 – 9) – July 16 – 22

Intermediate Camp (10 – 12) – July 23 – 29

$250 per camper after June 1, 2017

Fee includes tuck and bus transportation from the residential camps to Thunder Bay. Volunteers and donors believe it is important that no child be denied a camping experience because of financial difficulties. Contact any Anglican church to apply for partial payment of camp fees.
