1. Deanery Potluck Supper: for Mary Sherwood, an Anglican Missionary serving in Madagascar, East Africa. Mary has founded two excellent ministries for young people at Akany Famonjena orphanage and Akany Tafita Inner City Mission. A vibrant servant of the Lord and marvelous speaker, Mary will make a presentation for our Deanery following a Potluck Supper at St. Thomas’ on Wed., Sept. 12 beginning at 6:00 p.m. R.S.V.P. Carolyn Napierala at 345-9223. Please come out to welcome Mary and be inspired by her missionary passion.

2. Hour of Prayer resumes its weekly gathering on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 11:30-12:30noon in St. Thomas Side Chapel. Every second week prayers lead by Margie Wilson, Regional Co-Director of Nation at Prayer. An opportunity to pray for our Parishes, our City, our Region, our Province, and our Nation. 3. St. James Anglican Church, John St. Rd. Murillo, will hold a Beef on a Bun Supper with salads and dessert and a Silent Auction on Saturday, September 22 at 6 p.m. Only 60 Tickets available at $10.00 a person. Supper at 6 p.m. at the church in Morrow Hall. Call Gladys at 935-2202 or Sharron at 935-2648 for tickets. Everyone welcome. Come and Feel our Country Warmth.

1. St George’s Anglican Church, 298 McIntyre Street is holding a Treasure Seekers Vacation Bible Club, July 16th to 20th, 2012, from 10:00 am-12:30 pm. The fun-filled club for (4-12 yr olds) will include, songs, stories, crafts, snacks and more! Trained, screened staff will run the event, assisted by the Child Evangelism Fellowship. This is a Free Event, but you do need to register by calling Deb at 344-1290.

2. Looking for a Waterfront Director for Camp Gitchigomee for Intermediate Camp July 22 – 28. Must have Current NLS, First Aid, 18 years old at least and a clean Police Security Check Please call Roberta Wolfe 623-2230 Also Intermediate Camp needs a Health Care Provider with First Aid.

3. Calling all Anglican photographers! Pull out your cameras, your fancy lenses, or your smartphones for our new photo contest. Capture an image that depicts one or all of the Marks of Mission and send it in to the General Synod office by January 1, 2013. Winning photos will be displayed at the 2013 Anglican-Lutheran Joint Assembly next summer in Ottawa and may be published in various Anglican church publications. Think big when crafting these images. They can be in colour or black and white, of people or places or things. The photograph must be original and previously unpublished.
