two-bit-auction

The Anglican and Evangelical Lutheran Group (AELG) will be holding a Two-Bit Auction in support of their bursary fund on Friday, October 21st at Hilldale Lutheran Church, 321 Hilldale Road starting at 7:00 pm. Door are open at 6:30 pm for basket viewing. Tickets are $5.00 and are available at the door or through AELG members.

New Testament “Boot Camp”

This day-long workshop will expose participants to four things:

The religious and cultural backgrounds of the Bible’s New Testament;
The different genres of the New Testament;
The content of the New Testament; and
Some reading strategies for approaching the study of the New Testament.

As a result, participants should leave the workshop as more effective, proficient and faithful readers of the New Testament.

Led by: The Rev. Dr. Robert Derrenbacker, President, Thornloe University
Date: Sat. Oct. 29
Time: 9:15 a.m. – 3 p.m.
