1. The Rev. Deborah Kraft will be collated as the Archdeacon of Thunder Bay on Sunday, October 23, 3:00 p.m., at St. Paul’s, Thunder Bay. The Ven. Anne Germond, Archdeacon of Sudbury/Manitoulin will be the preacher. Clergy are invited to robe and process. The liturgical color will be green. Following the service there will be a “beef-on-a-bun” supper in the parish hall. All are welcome.

2. St. Thomas, Thunder Bay is seeking its first Parish Administrative Assistant. This position replaces Parish Secretary. The position requires excellent computer skills, initiative and knowledge of church policies and procedures. 20 hours per week, Mondays – Fridays, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Hourly rate : $17.50 ($350/week). 3. The Mission to Seafarers in Thunder Bay is looking for donations for Christmas Gift Bags to be given to seafarers in December. Donations need to be at the Seafarers’ Centre by November 21. Suggested donations include mittens, gloves, writing paper, and wrapped candy. For further information information go to www.missiontoseafarers.ca/thunderbay or call 344-8241 . The Mission to Seafarers is also still looking for clothing, particularly warm small to medium men’s clothing. There was a ship in over this past weekend and the crew appreciated getting warm clothing as they were from the Philippines. However, they took most of what was on hand.

4. Pipes, Pedals and Performance. Award-winning organist, accompanist, composer and arranger, Michael Cutler of Winnipeg organmike.ca, introduces you to … the pipe organ. (These events sponsored by Sponsored by the Royal Canadian College of Organists Thunder Bay Centre.)

· Interactive Workshop. Music for keyboard or small organ Open to Students, Organists, Teachers and anyone interested in Keyboard Music Thursday, October 13 4:15 —6:00 pm at Knox United, (1 Shuniah St.) Free.

· Recital and Demonstration. An introduction to how this amazing instrument works using music of The Great Masters from Bach to Bédard Friday, October 14 — 8:00pm at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian (Brodie St. at Donald). Admission by donation.

· Open Console!! Want to try the Pipe Organ? Bring your own music to St. Andrew’s on Friday Oct 14 from 6:30 –7:30.

5. St. Stephen’s Annual Turkey Dinner Fundraiser 5:30 p.m. Saturday, October 15 at the Current River Recreation Centre, 450 Dewe Ave. Tickets are Adults $15, $7.50 children, under 5 free. This is a fundraiser for St. Stephen’s Operating Fund. Tickets must be purchased in advance from a member of the Men’s Club. 6. St Michael’s famous Soup and Sandwich Lunch will be held on October 21st from 11 am to 2 pm. Cost is $10.
