2. The Anglican and Evangelical Lutheran Women’s Group would like to express their most heartfelt thanks for the donation of the offering from the Anglican-Lutheran Service during Holy Week, Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 7 pm at St. Paul’s. In February 2011, the ELC Lutheran Church Women invited their Anglican sisters to join them in what was to become our motto ‘Fighting poverty in Thunder Bay.’ Our major achievements was the creation of a bursary, to be awarded to a worthy student, and thus break the cycle of poverty through education. In 2012 we awarded our first bursary. We will be awarding our second bursary within in the next two months.

3. St. Luke’s is seeking a Sunday School Teacher to provide a Christian education program for children ages three to eight, on the second, third, fourth and fifth Sundays during the months of September to June. The Teacher will serve under the guidance of the Sunday School Superintendent, for a duration of 3.5 hours each week, at a rate of pay of $10 per hour. Interested persons will need to have a mature faith journey, a love of children, a servant’s heart and experience with teaching Sunday School.
