1. Camp Gitchigomee’s Annual General Meeting will be held February 19 at St. Michael’s Anglican Church starting at 7 p.m. There will be 4 vacancies on the Board of Directors, created by the Term of Office limitations. These include 3 at-large members and the Treasurer. Each Director may only serve a maximum of two consecutive two-year terms, making it a four-year limit (which is good news for volunteers!). The Board of Directors is elected by the general membership, and then meets separately to elect President and Vice President from within that group. Directors must be: at least 21 years old, not bankrupt, a member of the Camp (annual fee is $5), be an active member of a Christian Church, recognize and support the objects, mission and values of the Camp, and possess a clean Police Records Check. If you are interested in Camp Gitchigomee’s future and would like to help shape that future, please consider joining the Board of Directors for the basic two-year term.
