<p>1.      Parish of West Thunder Bay and 1st Murillo Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will hold a Spaghetti Supper on Sunday, May 27 from 4-6 p.m. at the Rosslyn Community Centre, Sit down or Take-out, $8 adults, $3 children. (Please bring your own container for take-out)</p>
<p>2.      St. Thomas will host a Celebration of New Ministry between our Parish and our new Incumbent, the Rev. Doug McClure, on Mon., June 18th, 7:00 pm. Archdeacon Deborah Kraft will be the Officiant and the Rt. Rev. Fraser Lawton, Bishop of the Diocese of Athabasca will be the preacher. You are invited to come celebrate as the people of St. Thomas, along with Pastor Doug commit ourselves to a shared ministry in our Parish.</p>
<p>3.      St. Thomas will host a Deanery of Thunder Bay special event on Tues., June 19th, 7:00-9:00 pm.  Guest presenter will be the Rt. Rev. Fraser Lawton, Bishop of Athabasca, and we will have an uplifting time of prayer and praise, followed by refreshments and fellowship. There is no cost &#8211; no registration; just come as you are and bring a friend in need of encouragement.</p>
<p>4.      On Saturday June 23 please plan to participate in the Blessing of the Fleet at the lookout on the Royal Canadian Navy Pier, Pier 3 at Marina Park. <p>5.      Dr. John Harvey of Thorneloe University will be offering a one-week intensive course in Thunder Bay the week of July 9th-13th. The course (number TCST 3900) is on the Books of Moses and will be held at St. Luke&#8217;s Anglican Church from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm each day.  Students are encouraged to purchase the textbook &#8220;The Five Books of Moses&#8221; by Roberet Alter. Cost of the course is $250 for audit and $350 for credit. The annual Battle of the Atlantic service will take place 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6 at the ANCHORAGE, Prince Arthur’s Landing Marina Park, with a reception following at HMCS GRIFFON, 125 Algoma St. N. A bus will be available to transport veterans and the general public between the ANCHORAGE and GRIFFON. This service commemorates the navy and merchant navy veterans who in World War II delivered 180 million tons of vital cargo and troops to England from North America, and battled German U-boats and raiders as well as the sea. 2024 Royal Canadian Navy and 1466 Canadian merchant navy sailors were killed. Approximately 350 Royal Canadian Air Force planes were lost and more than 900 aircrew were killed during the Battle of the Atlantic. Please come out as we honour the veterans who served our country. Paid Positions: Cook, Assistant Cook &#038; Prep Person – are required for 1, 2 or 3 weeks beginning July 7 – 28th (Food Handling Course Required); Lifeguards &#038; Waterfront Director  &#8211; are required for 1, 2, or 3 week periods beginning July 9 – 27th. Also looking for Volunteers for Junior, Intermediate &#038; Senior Camp – Cabin Leaders, Junior Cabin Leaders, Maintenance  for the 3 weeks. All Volunteers &#038; Paid Staff 16+ must have a clean Police Record Check before camp starts. Delivery people are required to help with delivery of food and Supplies during the weeks of camp. Mark your calendars for a &#8216;Flipper Flanagan&#8217; concert at St. Thomas&#8217; on Thursday, March 8 from 7-9 pm; featuring the &#8216;Grumpy Grampas&#8217; &#8211; great entertainment for everyone! <p>2.      St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church is having, on March  17.  Supper is 5:30 pm-6:30 pm, with activities of Card Games. Tickets are $10 for Adults in advance and $12 at the door, and $5 for Children under 12.
